12/3/12, "Senate Dems push climate change amendment," The Hill, Zack Colman
"Senate Democrats are attempting to force a vote on climate change through an amendment to the defense authorization bill.
Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse’s (D-R.I.) amendment calls for the U.S. to
“assess, plan for, and mitigate the security and strategic implications
of climate change” out of concern for national security.
It is unclear whether the amendment will surface on the floor as senators work to complete the sweeping defense policy bill as soon as Tuesday....
Whitehouse’s amendment, S.A. 3181, cites the National Security
Strategy’s climate change warning. It also mentions the Defense
Department’s Quadrennial Defense Review, which outlined climate change as a national security threat."...

For Sen. Whitehouse's information: US leads the world in CO2 reduction and scientists say emissions are going even lower. Experts interviewed by AP look for US policy to change to reflect less concern for CO2 danger. US CO2 is no longer a problem if it ever was.
Global Warming ‘action’ was institutionalized in US government
in 1990 by George Bush the 1st via the “U.S. Global Change Research Act of 1990.” CO2 is mentioned near the end. Also that year the U.S. began emissions trading "to control environmental problems." (p. 2)
Devoting 13 federal agencies to ‘climate' is probably too much 'climate action.'
Billions have been taken from US taxpayers for 'climate' via agency budget allocations, tax subsidies, diversion of US military to climate or green projects, countless federal regulations, vast sums shipped out in foreign aid for no-strings ‘climate’ endeavors.
Just last month, Obama took 'climate action' by giving $6 billion US taxpayer dollars to the Sultan of Brunei who owns 5000+ cars and to the Pres. of Indonesia, a country so corrupt even the World Bank says crime adds 20% to costs. Below, one of the Sultan's cars:

Sultan's Cars," wheel to wheel blog.
Regarding national security, even Obama recently cancelled one of the CIA's multi-billion dollar "global warming" danger divisions. In 2005 the UN predicted 50 million climate refugees by 2010 which obviously didn't happen. A lot of money changed hands for a lie. Americans are repeatedly sold out for scams like this.

"More than three years later, and after spending billions of taxpayer dollars an Inside-the-Beltway watchdog group reported on Tuesday that
President Barack Obama ordered the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to quietly shutdown its example of government waste and duplication: the Center on Climate Change and National Security.
The scandal-plagued government agency responsible for providing national security
intelligence to senior U.S. policymakers, the military, homeland
security officials and law enforcement operated an insignificant special
unit that focused on global warming."...

The National Wildlife Federation says a "climate bill" to them means:
“Billions annually outside the political process so agencies could rely on it for years to come.“
From National Wildlife Federation website: “Funding for Wildlife and Ecosystems”
subhead, “Clean Energy and Climate Legislation“
“One of National Wildlife Federation’s core campaigns is to ensure that a portion of the revenue generated annually from clean energy and climate legislation will go to help safeguard wildlife and natural resources from the impacts of climate change.
This funding could amount to billions of dollars annually and, once established, would be
outside of the political process
so that agencies could rely on it for years to come. …
Bills that have reached Congress thus far are the American Clean Energy and Security Act and the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act.
What a Climate Bill Means for Wildlife Professionals
Last spring (2009), a clean energy and climate bill passed the House of Representatives. This spring (2010), a bi-partisan effort is underway to craft a clean energy and climate bill in the U.S. Senate. The House bill
would provide $1.7 billion annually for natural resource conservation.
Meaning, thousands of wildlife and natural resource
jobs could be created and funded by a climate bill.“…
------------------------------------------
It's stunning the amount of money people try to steal from innocent taxpayers. Normal care of wildlife and the environment is something quite different from putting all environmental conversations under the umbrella of CO2 danger and a permanent "jobs" program "outside the political process."

"Virtually everyone believes the shift could have major long-term implications for U.S. energy policy.”…
8/16/12, “AP IMPACT: CO2 emissions in US drop to 20-year low,” AP, Kevin Begos
“In a surprising turnaround, the amount of carbon dioxide being released into the atmosphere in the U.S. has fallen dramatically to its lowest level in 20 years,
and government officials say the biggest reason is that cheap and
plentiful natural gas has led many power plant operators to switch from
dirtier-burning coal.
Many of the world’s leading climate scientists didn’t see the drop coming,
in large part because it happened as a result of market forces rather
than direct government action against carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas
that traps heat in the atmosphere.
Michael Mann, director of the Earth System Science Center at Penn State University, said the shift away from coal is reason for “cautious optimism” about potential ways to deal with climate change….
In a little-noticed technical report, the U.S. Energy Information Agency,
a part of the Energy Department, said this month that energy related
U.S. CO2 emissions for the first four months of this year fell to about 1992 levels. Energy emissions make up about 98 percent of the total. The Associated Press contacted environmental experts, scientists and utility companies and learned that
virtually everyone believes the shift could have major long-term implications for U.S. energy policy.”…

1/15/11, “Recession Special: Cleaner Air,“ NY Times, Matthew Wald
“What the government has not mandated, the economy is doing on its own: emissions of global warming gases in the United States are down.
According to the Energy Department, carbon dioxide emissions peaked in this country in 2005 and will not reach that level again until the early 2020s.”…

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, don't be a denier, great CO2 news! US leads world in CO2 drop! US CO2 has dropped for 20 yrs., US policy seen changing due to reduced CO2 danger. Hope Sen. Whitehouse isn't trying to get a "climate" bill for NWF who says bill will funnel billions to them 'outside political process'
