"Donald Trump’s surprising popularity shouldn’t be so surprising." Red Arizona. "McCain and Flake and all the others, first and foremost Obama, have blood on their hands." Commenter to Red Arizona
7/11/15, "Trump’s appeal? He gives voice to Americans," Red Arizona
"Recently announced presidential candidate Donald Trump’s scheduled campaign stop in Phoenix today has been instructive. Initially dismissed as a mega-mogul with a penchant for speaking his mind, it turns out he has a massive following.
His appearance had to be moved from the upscale Biltmore Resort, which was unable to accommodate the growing crowd, to the Phoenix Convention Center, as thousands requested tickets.
Everyone, it seems, has an opinion on the man and his blunt illegal immigration message. Amnesty proponents, Sens. John McCain and Jeff Flake are appalled. Gov. Doug Ducey, who ran as a border hawk and did an abrupt post-election turnaround, is averting his eyes and keeping his head down. Phoenix’ far-left mayor and his bobble-headed contingent of Democrat City Council members are aghast. The Republicans pick at their collars and shift uncomfortably when Trump’s name is mentioned. Arizona’s GOP members of the congressional delegation have gone uncharacteristically mute.
With elections just around the bend and Balkan-like ethnic polarization becoming the norm, politicos are walking a tightrope, spittle-laden fingers to the wind, worrying which words they utter will offend which bloc the most or least. The group they appear less concerned about offending are American citizens. The open borders clique at the fading Periódico de la República de Arizona (Arizona Republic) is foaming-at-the-mouth apoplectic spewing the type of rancid rhetoric the leftist newspaper prefers to attribute to conservatives who take issue with its extreme editorial policy.
The uncomfortable truth is that much of what Trump has to say on illegal immigration strikes a chord with Arizona residents who are weary of the steady flow of foreign nationals, taking jobs and making demands, sapping our resources, stretching our generosity and yes, committing crime. Lots of it. They are jailed, even deported and return to commit more. WND’s Aaron Klein substantiates the facts with his report, “FBI data backs up Trump claims on illegals and crime.”
Then ask yourself why Republicans shift embarrassingly when the unvarnished truth is boldly stated. By turning a blind eye and going tight-lipped, they are not representing American citizens of either party who deserve better. But even more to the point, since they ran as Republicans, they are complicit in ensuring the ultimate irrelevancy of the GOP. Immigrant groups —- even those who came legally through the front door —- have generally remained, generations later, in the Democrat camp.
Donald Trump’s surprising popularity shouldn’t be so surprising. He is giving voice to the frustrations many Americans feel and are unable to articulate for fear of being slurred or unfairly labeled.
Donald Trump has no such concerns. For that we should be grateful."

Excellent assessment, SRAZ! This post describes me to a “T.” I am weary of being deemed a racist or bigot for wanting the border secured and our laws enforced. I have never previously given Donald Trump a second thought, but he speaks the truth on the issue of illegal immigration when most others cower. He ought to visit Tucson, take a stroll along the border and see for himself what we live with here in Pima County."

Donald Trump has hit a nerve. He’s making the two-faced RINOs very nervous. The turnout in Phoenix today is like a middle finger to John McCain and Jeff Flake. They just got run over by The Donald."

How can you not be ecstatic watching the likes of Priebus, McCain, Flake, Graham, and the entire GOP criminal cabal self-consuming their tighty whities? Doug Ducey should be recalled before the Phoenix high drops to 99. He is EXACTLY as advertised."

I am just loving it, watching the Republicrats squirm and yes this is a whopping big dose of reality for the snakes in the grass who need to be ousted from the GOP asap. R U hearing us, John, Jeff, Rubio, Jeb, Pauly Ryan, Whimmsey McGrahamnesty, Chris Crusty, and the rest of you clowns who better start to listen to your employers ie us taxpayers."

Parking will be tough. Leave early. I’m heading out before long. Hope to see a gigantic crowd."

You know who is grateful for Donald Trump?
The moms and dads and husbands and wives and children of the victims who died because of an illegal. They have gone hither and yon, knocking on the doors of members of Congress; sending letters to Obama and to anyone who they hoped would help—to no avail.
McCain and Flake and all the others, first and foremost Obama, have blood on their hands.
God is in His Heaven, and those who participated in this will have an interesting and toasty Eternity."

There is no question Trump has lit a long simmering fuse. For that we should all thank him."

Ditto, azgary! That was quite a crowd! I was also very glad to see Maricopa County GOP Chair Tyler Bowyer separate himself from the establishment by taking to the stage. He’s got spirit and is not under their thumb. Both fine attributes. He’s no Robert McGrahamnesty, which is a real plus in my estimation."
