"The Fox News Poll is conducted under the joint direction of Anderson Robbins Research (D) andShaw and Company Research (R). The poll was conducted by telephone with live interviewersAugust 11-13, 2015among a random national sample of 1,008 registered voters (RV). Results based on the full sample have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points."...
[Ed. note: Individual party margin of error is five points.*]
(continuing): "Landline and cell phone telephone numbers were randomly selected for inclusion in the survey using a probability proportionate to size method, which means that phone numbers for each state are proportional to the number of voters in each state. Results are of registered voters, unless otherwise noted."
*Source for 5% margin of error in individual party samples is last sentence of last paragraph of 8/16/15 Fox News article. The poll (above) noted margin of error of both parties combined was 3%, but didn't mention margin of error for individual parties:
"The poll has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three
percentage points for all registered voters, and five points for both
Democratic and Republican primary voters."
