The poll was conducted by telephone with live interviewersAugust 11-13, 2015among a random national sample of 1,008 registered voters (RV). Results based on the full sample have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points."...

(continuing): "Landline and cell phone telephone numbers were randomly selected for inclusion in the survey using a probability proportionate to size method, which means that phone numbers for each state are proportional to the number of voters in each state.Results are of registered voters, unless otherwise noted."

*Source for 5% margin of error in individual party samples is last sentence of last paragraph of 8/16/15 Fox News article. The poll (above) noted margin of error of both parties combined was 3%, but didn't mention margin of error for individual parties:

"The poll has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points for all registered voters, and five points for both Democratic and Republican primary voters."
