Fact Check on Washington Post's James Hohmann: Hohmann says people who live in Acela Corridor "loathe Trump." Actually, in Republican Acela Corridor primaries in April this year, Trump won every county in all 5 states, the affluent and college educated as well as blue collar voters-The Hill, NY Times, April 2016

.
10/4/16, "The Daily 202: Want to know why Trump’s winning Ohio? Drink a beer with ‘the deplorables’ in Boehner’s old district." Washington Post, James Hohmann, Middletown, Ohio

"Many Washington elites, including Republicans, do not know a single person who supports Donald Trump. In this depressed industrial town in southwestern Ohio, it is hard to find anyone who says they are for Hillary Clinton

“I cannot tell you one person I know of who has said to me that they support Hillary. Not one,” said Chris Polleys, who cleans benzene pots at the AK Steel plant here....

A poll published yesterday by Quinnipiac University shows that Trump is ahead of Clinton in Ohio by 5 points (47 percent to 42 percent) and that this is the only battleground state where his lead expanded in the wake of the first debate.

The GOP nominee’s strength can be explained, in part, by his extraordinary popularity with white men who did not go to college in places like this, where Democrats were once strong but which have moved sharply toward Republicans during the presidency of Barack Obama."...

[Ed. note: WaPo building the case that if you don't for the globalist democrat you're a dumb white hick.]

(continuing): "While folks who live in the Acela Corridor hear a lot about how much people loathe Trump, it would be challenging to overstate the level of antipathy for Clinton here."...

Fact Check on Washington Post: Republicans had "Acela Corridor" primaries in April this year, including: Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Not only did they not "loathe" Trump, he won every county in all 5 states in the "Acela Corridor" including Pennsylvania's Allegheny County, where rival  John Kasich was born. Worse for WaPo: "He won among the affluent and college-educated as well as with blue-collar voters and those with no more than a high school education:"

4/27/16, "Trump wins every county in 'Acela primaries'," The Hill, Jesse Byrnes

"Donald Trump won every county on Tuesday night in the five Northeastern states that held primaries, sweeping up more delegates in his quest to lock up the GOP nomination.

Trump won each county in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut and Rhode Island, including Pennsylvania's Allegheny County, where rival  John Kasich was born.

Trump also won every congressional district in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware to pick up more delegates. He won all but six districts in Connecticut and one in Rhode Island, which Kasich took.

The decisive win moved Trump closer to the GOP presidential nomination, which requires a candidate to win 1,237 delegates nationally."...

New York Times of Trump's Northeast Corridor victory included affluent and college-educated deplorables (OK, they didn't use the word "deporables"):

"He won among the affluent and college-educated as well as with blue-collar voters and those with no more than a high school education, according to exit polls":

4/27/16,  "Donald Trump Sweeps 5 States; Hillary Clinton takes 4 ," New York Times, Healy, Martin

"Mr. Trump had the more convincing performance on Tuesday: He swept all five primaries

(Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Rhode Island)

winning landslides of more than 30 percentage points over his rivals, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and Gov. John Kasich of Ohio....He received more than half the vote in every state....The broad support for Mr. Trump spanned some of the dividing lines that have characterized the Republican race until now:

He won among the affluent and college-educated as well as with blue-collar voters and those with no more than a high school education, according to exit polls....Mr. Trump’s advantage across all five states was so forbidding that Mr. Cruz abandoned the Northeast entirely on Saturday....Not only did Mr. Trump have significant prospects for a substantial delegate haul Tuesday, a week after his dominating performance in New York, he also had the opportunity to send a clear message to party leaders and other Republicans that resistance to his nomination is futile."...
