Obama tells GOP the killing of Bin Laden means that Obama should be given a free hand in spending and other matters against the American people. No need for a GOP pep talk, they love Obama and are thrilled for any excuse to let him do what he wants. "Upon hearing bin Laden's name, lawmakers of both parties interrupted the president with a standing ovation and whistles. Among the Republicans who rose to their feet were House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio and House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin."...

There was a time when politicizing patriotism was considered horrible, but today's GOP doesn't seem to mind it.

Hillary Clinton resented politicizing of patriotism.

In 2003, Hillary Clinton said, "I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree
  • with any administration."
