GOP congressman tries to get Mark Levin’s radio show removed from the station in his district

.
Friday, April 12, 2013:  At the open of his show Mark revealed that a Republican US congressman is upset with certain of Mr. Levin’s comments about him. As a result, the congressman has asked for Mr. Levin’s radio show to be removed  from the local radio station in his district that carries it. Mr. Levin observes:

1. The congressman may not be up to date, but people have many ways to access his show even if his local station doesn’t carry it.

2. If the show is removed from the particular local station, Mr. Levin will visit the congressman’s office on Capitol Hill and have a discussion with him.

3. “You may treat freshman and conservative members of congress this way, but you’re not going to treat me this way, got that, tough guy?” said Mr. Levin.

4. “We have a real mob problem on Capitol Hill.”

5. “I’m not surprised this is happening.”

Update:  Mr. Levin says on his twitter page that the Republican referenced is not Boehner. Boehner wasn't my first guess. My first guess was the California whip Kevin McCarthy, second, Eric Cantor.

The GOP mob has long despised talk radio. In 2007, GOP tough guy insider Trent Lott said talk radio is the problem with America. Lott also notes young guys in congress have to be silenced:

6/15/07, Senate Leaders Agree to Revive Immigration Bill,” NY Times,” R. Pear, J. Zeleny
.
The Republican whip, Trent Lott of Mississippi, who supports the (immigration) bill, said:

Further into the conversation Mr. Lott said, Senate Republican leaders may try to rein in “younger guys who are huffing and puffing against the (immigration) bill.”"...

Comment: I've read comments on some sites (whether trolls or otherwise) saying Mr. Levin should name the person, we'll get rid of the guy, etc. First, it's already obvious from what Mr. Levin has said it's only one of 3 or 4 people and Boehner has been excluded. Many more than that would like to get rid of talk radio entirely as I mentioned above in the 2007 example about Trent Lott. Mr. Levin is handling it perfectly in my view. He didn't have to make this information public at this time but chose to do so. I'm happy he did. Nevertheless, there are others involved here. Mark is employed by ABC Radio Networks. They obviously have an interest in what goes on with affiliates. There's more to say on this matter especially from a radio business perspective for those interested in such things, but it will play itself out.

Ed. note: The two party system has destroyed this country. Multiple new parties must arise.
