4/6/16, "Unprompted, attendees chanted "Lyin' Ted," a phrase Mr. Trump has come to use against Mr. Cruz.... This was Mr. Trump’s crowd. Attendees screamed in support of Mr. Trump’s proposals to build a wall across the border with Mexico and to “knock the hell out of ISIS.”"

"Mr. Trump looks likely to carry handily New York primary on April 19. A Monmouth University poll Wednesday found that 52% of likely Republican primary voters in New York supported Mr. Trump, trailed by Mr. Kasich with 25% and 17% for Mr. Cruz. The margin could allow Mr. Trump to sweep nearly all of the state’s 95 delegates....


The Monmouth University poll found that Mr. Trump’s strongest support was in New York City and Long Island, with 58% support....

His campaign announced a 17-member New York leadership team Wednesday night, along with the support of 33 local GOP chairs. Susan McNeil, a Trump supporters and regional Republican Party chair for the area surrounding Albany, said she’s gotten a steady stream of calls from people looking to volunteer for the businessman’s campaign.

“I haven’t had as many calls in an election as for this one. People say they want to do anything for the Trump campaign,” said Ms. McNeil, who attended the rally....


He’s bringing up major issues, like transparency and money in politics and how many illegal immigrants have been deported and return again,” said Helen Qiu, an independent voter and native of China who traveled 90 minutes by train with her four-year-old son to the rally.
 

“I’m against these establishment people,” said George Ruzzier, an 81-year-old independent from Bethpage, who planned to vote for Mr. Trump. “He’s the only one who can beat Hillary.”"
