2/1/16, "All 23 Plead Guilty in Florida 'Latin Kings' Gang Roundup," nbcmiami.com
"All 23 people arrested last year in a crackdown on South Florida's violent Latin Kings gang have pleaded guilty to a variety of federal charges.
The last holdout
was 33-year-old Sean Buendia, who opted last week not to go to trial and
pleaded guilty to robbery. He faces sentencing in April.
The
rest of the Latin Kings have pleaded guilty to racketeering, weapons
and drug charges over the past few months. Prosecutors say they
primarily operated in Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and Broward counties.
The top-ranking
gang member caught in the roundup was 36-year-old Christopher Isabel,
who faces 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to racketeering.
Prosecutors say he is the second-ranking Latin King leader in Florida.
Another gang leader, 31-year old Juan Alvarez, was sentenced to 15 years."
