Mike Huckabee's creepy family connections to his endorsements-Jen Kuznicki

"That’s why I wondered yesterday if new Huck endorsee Lankford of Oklahoma had hired The Wickers Group.  And since Huck is “seriously considering” a run in 2016, could these endorsements stand for serious capital in 2016 for both him and his family?"

4/5/14, "Do Huckabee’s Endorsements Hinge On Nepotism?" Jen Kuznicki

"Mike Huckabee has had a bit of a streak of endorsements that coincide with the hiring of his son-in-law’s team of consultants.

In The Hill’s, “Is Huckabee Serious About A 2016 Bid?” Huckabee’s daughter, Sarah Huckabee Sanders speaks for her father.
Top advisers to the former Arkansas governor say the Republican’s flirtation with a 2016 run is real after he ultimately passed on a bid last time.
“He’s more serious this time. He sees the environment to be better for him this time than in 2012,” said Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Huckabee’s daughter and a senior strategist from his first presidential campaign. “It just seems so right for a lot of different reasons. I think there is a bigger opportunity this time around, and he’s very, very seriously considering a run.”
Sarah is married to Bryan Sanders, the Little Rock Arkansas branch manager of the firm The Wickers Group.

The Trailblazer Blog at the Dallas News picked up on some of the grumbling going on with opposing campaigns to those that Huckabee endorsed, noting that many times, Huck’s backing came when or because of The Wickers Group being hired by the sanctioned.
The Huckabee-Wickers connection is strong, according to a usually reliable Republican source. In early 2012, Dewhurst badly needed a leading conservative’s endorsement and he courted Huckabee, the source said. Huckabee let Dewhurst know it would be good if Wickers were somehow involved with the effort to elect Dewhurst, and Wickers’ name soon thereafter popped up as the co-founder of a pro-Dewhurst super PAC, (Conservative Renewal PAC )…
Update at 12:34 p.m.: Rival Republicans have noticed that Huckabee has endorsed several candidates, such as Patrick, who have hired San Francisco GOP political consultant Bob Wickers and his firm, The Wickers Group. Huckabee’s son in law, Bryan Sanders, is a partner in The Wickers Group and manages its Little Rock office. Wickers is the media consultant and pollster for the Patrick campaign. He previously worked for, and Huckabee endorsed, Bob Bentley for Alabama governor in 2010; and last year, Dewhurst for Senate, Nebraska Senate candidate Jon Bruning and Florida congressman Ted Yoho.
Bryan Sanders worked for Yoho, and Bentley.  But his description at The Wickers Group also shows his biggest clients who were also all endorsed by Mike Huckabee.
Bryan manages the firm’s Little Rock office and has serviced some of the firm’s biggest clients, including Gov. Mike Huckabee (AR), Gov. Robert Bentley (AL), Attorney General Scott Pruitt (OK),  Congressman Ted Yoho (FL), Congressman Trent Franks (AZ), and State Treasurer Lynn Fitch (MS).
Bryan was campaign manager for Gov. Robert Bentley’s successful campaign for the Republican nomination for Governor of Alabama in 2010.
Yoho, and Bentley were already discussed as having been endorsed by Huck, but a little google search uncovers that all the rest of Bryan’s biggest clients were as well, setting up the possible scenario, “Hire my son-in-law and get a free endorsement.”
So if the source at the Dallas News had mentioned that Huckabee made it known to Dewhurst that it would be good if, “Wickers were somehow involved with the effort to elect Dewhurst,” is that what it takes to get sanctioned by Huckabee?

And how in the world does a supposed conservative miss the juggernaut of Ted Cruz?  Was the Dewhurst endorsement only done to provide a cash flow to Huck’s son-in-law’s firm?

All of that is in line with speculation that the reason Huckabee endorsed Patrick over his old buddy Dewhurst in the race for Lt. Gov of Texas.  Patrick is employing TWG.

Comment: I normally try to avoid the topic of Mike Huckabee because he's slimy, boring, and establishment. Ms. Kuznicki did the work of researching Huckabee's creepy activities. Why can't these people ever leave politics and have normal lives?
