George Bush was ‘critical of Romney’s campaign and skeptical of his chances,’ NY Magazine, 10/14/12

.
“He (George Bush) gets a regular drip feed of political news from Karl Rove and others—he’s been critical of Romney’s campaign and skeptical of his chances.”...(p. 2)

10/14/12, “(Jeb) Bush in the Wilderness,” NY Magazine, Joe Hagen

NY Magazine did an interview with the hideous Jeb Bush during his shadow campaign at the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa. The characterizations about George Bush (above) were part of NY Magazine’s narrative. They weren’t disputed in Jeb Bush’s follow-up to NY Magazine.

10/16/12, “Jeb Bush Responds to New York,” NY Magazine, Dan Amira

Ed. note: NY Magazine erroneously states that Jeb Bush is the obvious leader of the moderate wing” of the GOP. The only thing 'obvious' is this is wishful thinking on NY Magazine's part

Jeb Bush now hob nobs on the golf course and in board rooms with billionaire ‘No Labels’ Mayor Mike Bloomberg:

10/14/12, “(Jeb) Bush in the Wilderness,” NY Magazine, Joe Hagen

Jeb’s recent friendship with Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a critic of the tea party, has seemed to crystallize a shift toward a more moderate approach. In recent years, the two have become political allies, simpatico on education and immigration, and frequent golf partners in Florida and New York. Bush now serves on the board of directors at the Bloomberg Family Foundation, and Bloomberg L.P. hosted panel discussions
featuring both Jeb Bush and his son, George P. Bush.”…(p. 6 of article)

--------------------------------------------

Jeb Bush fervently “wants the rubes to stop their clamoring,” as do No Labels people like Mike Bloomberg:

12/13/10, “The Fierce Ideology of ‘No Labels’, Gawker, Jim Newell

A cabal of centrist Democrats and lapsed Republicans are gathering in New York today to launch No Labels, a group that advocates ditching partisan politics for supposedly common sense solutions. Cute! But don’t pretend that this isn’t ideological….Pretty much everyone on this list of speakers at today’s launch has a label: wishy-washy centrist who wants the rubes to stop their clamoring before it defeats them in an election (if it already hasn’t — Inglis, Crist, Castle) or takes power away from the entrenched producers of conventional wisdom.”…

-----------------------------------

Jeb Bush ‘cares’ about the hemisphere, ‘the corn guy in Des Moines’ not so much:

10/9/2006, “The Saudis Of The Southern Hemisphere,” Forbes, David Adams

Gov. (Jeb) Bush is discussing the creation of a joint commission with Brazil to promote ethanol as a hemispheric vehicle for energy security. While he recognizes the concerns of U.S. corn producers, he says national security should take precedence.

That to me is a heck of a lot more important than whether or not the corn guy in Des Moines is protected so that we continue to consume foreign sources of oil,” he said.” (item at end of article)

7/13/12, "George Shultz Endorses Carbon Tax – You Were Surprised?" GlobalWarming.org, Marlo Lewis

"But there has always been a wing of the GOPthe

“establishment,” “Country Club,” or “Rockefeller” Republicans

who care more about controlling the party

  • than about advancing liberty
  • or even about winning elections.

AEI’s Ken Green (a colleague of Hassett’s) hits the nail on the head. In a story on Shultz’s endorsement of carbon taxes, Green told Climatewire: (subscrip):

There seems to be an eruption of conservatives — very moderate-seeming conservatives, non-tea party, old country club-style conservatives — who are suddenly enamored of carbon tax,” said Kenneth Green, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute.

“I think this is mostly vanity and egotism on the part of these people who are coming forward, to try and reassert the

Republican establishment over the tea party revolution,”

he added. “I wouldn’t be surprised if we have more of these guys weigh in.”"...(begin parag. 11)...

-----------------------------------------

Ed. note: Jeb Bush was so "popular" he couldn't even deliver the state of Florida to his own brother in 2000. But left wing media like the Palm Beach Post are desperate to make him out to be a star. The media and Jeb think alike, which is they should get to decide everything and we should shut up.

On 7/29/12 the Far Left Palm Beach Post cited Jeb Bush's mantra which is that we are DANGEROUS and RIGID and should shut the hell up. Jeb Bush is outraged that we would have one word to say about his ascendency.

7/29/12, "7/29/12, "Editorial: Crowder over West in U.S. House District 18," Palm Beach Post"

"A Republican Party that such luminaries as former Gov. Jeb Bush warn has become dangerously right wing and rigid."...

P.S. I just thought of one good thing about the loss....Karl Rove's stock is down to zero....again.
