"David Rockefeller, who has made some of the largest gifts to New York arts and educational institutions in recent years, has pledged about $225 million to the Rockefeller Brothers Fund created by his family to support social, educational and environmental causes.
The Rockefeller Fund will get a cash lump sum paid from Rockefeller's investment portfolio and ``other assets'' upon his death, Rockefeller Fund President Stephen Heintz said in a phone interview today.
The money will be used to create the David Rockefeller Global Development Fund to support projects ranging from health and poverty initiatives to a program that fosters dialogue between Muslim and Western nations, spokeswoman Gail Fuller said in a phone interview."...
