Since US insists on illegally occupying one third of Syrian land along with oil supplies located there, why doesn’t Syria seize one third of the US and some of its oil?

President Trump made it clear in October that his primary, and indeed sole military goal in Syria was to seize the oil. Since then, there is still no sign any US company is willing to participate in that plan, and analysts doubt the US could ever even break even on the effort.

It isn’t surprising that Syria would consider recovering the oil vital, after all it is the only reliable source of revenue to rebuild their economy around. At the same time, with 600 US troops at the oil, along with armored vehicles, it’s not clear that Syria has a realistic chance of recovering the area any time soon.”

The goal of the US is not to seize the oil but to keep it from the Syrians. To get other people involved it helps a lot of course if you can promise them that they can get the benefits from that oil.”
