10/4/12, "Mitt Romney to hold rally in St. Petersburg on Friday," Tampa Bay Times
"Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is headed to St. Petersburg on Friday for a rally. Romney's visit to the bay area comes roughly two weeks after he went to Sarasota for a rally that drew about 4,000 people.
Friday's
event will be at Pier Park, 550 Second Ave. NE and also is likely to
encompass nearby Spa Beach Park. Gates open at 3:45 p.m. and the rally
is expected to start at 6:15 p.m....
St. Petersburg police said they could not answer questions about the
rally or downtown traffic plans since Romney is protected by the Secret
Service. The campaign has applied for a permit to use the park.
The
event coincides with First Friday, a monthly happening that draws a few
thousand people to a block party on Central Avenue between 5:30 p.m.
and 10 p.m. Downtown typically hops with music, food and a lively crowd....
Rally tickets are available at local Romney campaign offices through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. or at mittromney.com/FL.
The
ticket office locations are:
2101 Tyrone Blvd. N, St Petersburg;
