Since Obama's election, there has been
no increase in persons who consider themselves 'Republican' (understandably). If more Republicans are elected in the near future, it will be in spite of the
pathetic job done by the 'business side' of the GOP.
- "Partisan identification has stabilized during 2010. Numbers for June show that 35.4% consider themselves Democrats while 33.9% consider themselves Republicans. The number of Democrats is down about six points since Election 2008

Politicians today believe the electorate is a bunch of "angry" fringe, know-nothings to be written off. The media reinforces this.
