After being fired by JFK, former CIA chief Allen Dulles ran a shadow government against him from his house. 7 days after JFK’s death LBJ named Allen Dulles to Warren Commission

.
JFK’s presidency would be a continuous struggle with his own military and intelligence agencies, which engaged in incessant schemes to trap him into escalating the Cold War into a hot one.

11/20/2013, “John F. Kennedy’s Vision of Peace,” Rolling Stone, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (“This story is from the December 5th, 2013 issue of Rolling Stone”)

“On the 50th anniversary of JFK’s death, his nephew recalls the fallen president’s attempts to halt the war machine.”

“[Former CIA chief] Dulles, fired by JFK after the Bay of Pigs, returned to public service when LBJ appointed him to the Warren Commission [only 7 days after JFK’s death], where he systematically concealed the agency’s involvement in various assassination schemes and its ties to organized crime. To a young writer, he revealed his [Dulles] continued resentment against JFK: “That little Kennedy…he thought he was a god.””…

Oct. 19, 2015, A CIA Tie to JFK Assassination? Book on Ex-Director Allen Dulles Questions Agency’s Role,” DemocracyNow.org

David Talbot, author of “The Devil’s Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of America’s Secret Government,” re-examines what happened in Dallas on November 22, 1963, and looks at John F. Kennedy’s relationship with his former CIA director [Allen Dulles]…..

Transcript…

DAVID TALBOT: Well, he [Dulles] was fired after the Bay of Pigs. Kennedy realized he shouldn’t have kept Dulles on from the Eisenhower years. They were philosophically too different. And the Bay of Pigs was the final straw for him. So he was pushed out after that….

But Dulles, as I say, continued to sort of set up an anti-Kennedy government in exile in his home in Georgetown. Many of the people he was meeting with, several of the people, including Howard Hunt and others, later became figures of suspicion during the House Select Committee on Assassination hearings in Washington in the 1970s. You know, most Americans don’t know that that was the last official statement, the last official report, on the Kennedy assassination, not the Warren Report back in 1964. But the Congress reopened the investigation into John Kennedy’s assassination, and they did determine he was killed as the result of a conspiracy….

When the Warren Report came out [Dulles was on the Warren Commission], I was saying that one of the editors, top editors, at Newsweek wrote to him and said, “Thank you so much, Mr. Dulles, for helping shape our coverage of the Warren Report.” Well, of course, Allen Dulles was on the Warren Commission. In fact, some people thought it should have been called the Dulles Commission, because he dominated it so much. So, you know, it’s way too cozy, the relationship between Washington power and the media.”…

Added: Two days after JFK’s death, LBJ ramped up US involvement in Vietnam:

On 11/21/1963, JFK said:After I come back from Texas, we’re getting out of Vietnam. There’s no reason for us to lose another man over there.”…

On 11/22/1963, JFK was killed….

On 11/24/63, LBJ ramped up US involvement in Vietnam: “On November 24th, 1963, two days after JFK died, Lyndon Johnson met with South Vietnam Ambassador Henry Cabot Lodge, whom JFK had been on the verge of firing. LBJ told Lodge, “I am not going to lose Vietnam.””…With those words, LBJ murdered 58,000 Americans. JFK would today be ostracized as a “crackpot or a kook” for his views of a “demilitarized foreign policy.JFK’s capacity to stand up against the national-security apparatus and imagine a different future for America has made him, despite his short presidency, one of the most popular presidents in history.”

Re: 2015 book, The Devil’s Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of America’s Secret Government,” by Salon founder David Talbot

11/2/2015,A New Biography Traces the Pathology of Allen Dulles and His Appalling Cabal,” The Intercept, Jon Schwarz

“In the first 500 pages you are convinced that Dulles would have had no moral qualms about killing any politician, including Americans. You learn Dulles had a lifetime of experience in arranging assassinations, and apparent ties to attempts to overthrow or murder French president Charles de Gaulle. And you discover the depth of his [Dulles’] grudge against John F. Kennedy, who dismissed him and several of his key underlings after the Bay of Pigs.

Dulles’ entire spooky world is beyond the reach of American democracy.“…

Added: Thousands of JFK files remain secret. Many that have been released include redactions:

2017/2018 Document Releases,” maryferrell.org

“The partial release of records on October 26, 2017 was followed by additional document releases in November and December. Then, pursuant to the 6-month review process created by President Trump, another release (the 7th in all) of about 19,000 documents occurred on April 26, 2018.

Is the JFK Records Act declassification process now complete? In a word, no:

*In general, released documents feature fewer redactions than has been the case thus far, though many redactions remain.

*According to the National Archives, 15,834 documents remain redacted. These are intended to be re-reviewed for possible full release at the future date of October 26, 2021.

*Some documents scheduled for release could not be located by NARA. These include 9 Rockefeller Commission audio files could not be located and 79 RIF record numbers could not be resolved to actual found documents.

*520 documents fall under sections 10 and 11 of the JFK Records Act – these are IRS documents and documents provided under a “deed of gift” – and will not be released

For details, the National Archive’s project page and MFF President Rex Bradford’s discussion of the state of the releases.

The Mary Ferrell Foundation has been tracking these releases and is still investigating errors and anomalies in the online data, documents which seem to have “fallen through the cracks,” and other issues. Watch this page and this website for ongoing updates.”…
