"Luis" is Mexican and works for an American firm that is reinforcing the physical boundary at the US-Mexico border. The BBC is protecting his identity as he is not authorised to talk by his employer. 

He says it is a job like any other and his family supports him, joking that he should leave a "little opening" for them."
