2/15/17, "Most See Increased Danger from New Middle Eastern Refugees," Rasmussen Reports
"While President Trump’s refugee freeze is tied up in the courts, the State Department has sped up acceptance of newcomers from the Middle
Eastern terrorist havens targeted by the freeze. Most voters think
that’s making America less safe.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that
54% of Likely U.S. Voters believe increasing the number of refugees from
Syria, Iraq and other suspect Middle Eastern and African countries
poses an increased national security risk to the United States.
Thirty-three percent (33%) disagree, while 12% are undecided. (To see
survey question wording, click here.)
The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on February 12-13, 2017
by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage
points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen
Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology."
