US government takover of US GDP means a steady decline in quality of life for most Americans-Galland

.
7/29/12, "Guest Post: Bypassing Government Roadblocks To Your Personal Prosperity," Zero Hedge, David Galland, Casey Research

"That the US government's activities as a share of GDP have gone from well under 10% at the beginning of the last century to over 40% today and will go over 50% by the time Obamacare is fully implemented – makes it clear that this country is now operating on principles that run completely contrary to those that promote success and economic well-being.

The consequence of continuing to operate on this model will be a steady decline in the quality of life for most Americans, while favoring a ruling elite that produces nothing… except more roadblocks....

The best way to "fight back" is to get wise to the whole thing.

Understanding what's happening and knowing where the roadblocks are likely to be just makes sense.

And having clearly set out strategies that both sidestep the roadblocks and preserve your wealth is not just a good idea – it's critical." (item near end of article)

This suicide and homicide succeeded via a silenced electorate. Both political parties wanted to silence the annoying middle class. The radical left actually thinks a 2 class system is morally superior:

4/1/2010, "The Obama Coalition," The Atlantic, Thomas Byrne Edsall

"Over the last two years, there has been a massive increase in the number of people who have no place to turn except to the government. Enactment of the Obama administration’s health care reform legislation demonstrates the growing power of this burgeoning constituency—a constituency which will reap a disproportionate share of the $1 trillion in new health care spending over the next decade....

While both the “have” and “have-not” coalitions have been growing, with the middle waning, the devastating effects of the Great Recession, the inexorable enlargement of the minority electorate, and the legions of single voters now give greater momentum to the left and to the Democratic Party....

There are many ways to measure the expanding multitudes of those in need. From February 2008 to February 2010, the number of unemployed men and women doubled from 7.4 million to 14.9 million....

There is a growing consensus among economists that the unemployment problem is likely to become structural—no longer a temporary phenomenon.

One of the most striking indicators of the potentially enduring unemployment status of many of those now out of work is the increase in the number of people who have been without jobs for six months or more. These people have the hardest time making it back into the workforce, and the growth of this population suggests that more and more people who lose a job face the danger that unemployment will become permanent....

Health care reform marks a significant milestone in the restoration of the American progressive tradition....

Obama
has taken major risks. He could go down in flames...or he could effect—
  • as promised—
  • the long-awaited
  • transformation of American politics."

==============================

The message throughout the Middle East "indicts America, among other things, for being weak." "Our ruling class’ relationship with (Middle East regimes) them,...(is) the problem’s ultimate source."

10/20/11, "The lost decade," Angelo M. Codevilla, Claremont Institute

"A decade of the War on Terror brought a government ever bigger and more burdensome, as well as security” measures that impede the innocent rather than focusing on wrongdoers. Our ruling class justified its ever-larger role in America’s domestic life by redefining war as a never-ending struggle against unspecified enemies for abstract objectives, and by asserting expertise far above that of ordinary Americans. After 9/11, far from deliberating on the best course to take, our rulers stayed on autopilot and hit the throttles....

It failed to ask the classic headwaters question: what is the problem?...

That would have pointed to the Middle East’s regimes, and to our ruling class’ relationship with them, as the problem’s ultimate source. The rulers of Iran, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the Palestinian Authority had run (and continue to run) educational and media systems that demonize America. Under all of them, the Muslim Brotherhood or the Wahhabi sect spread that message in religious terms to Muslims in the West as well as at home.

  • That message indicts America, among other things, for being weak.
And indeed, ever since the 1970s U.S. policy had responded to acts of war and terrorism from the Muslim world by absolving the regimes for their subjects’ actions. For example, when Yasser Arafat’s PLO murdered U.S. ambassador Cleo Noel, our government continued building friendly relations with Arafat, and romancing the Saudi regime that was financing him. Since then the U.S. government has given
  • $2.5 billion to the PLO."...
