Single Covid related death in NJ to a person under age 18 had underlying medical condition. State won’t reveal condition or if the person actually had Covid. Per CDC, only 3 persons under age 18 in entire US died with Covid related complications-NJ.com, 5/8/20

NJ Gov. Murphy recently told Trump that only one person in New Jersey under age 18 has died when Covid-19 was involved, per Wall St. Journal transcript, 6/18/20. In one such case reported by NJ.com on May 8, 2020, where “complications related to Covid-19 ” were mentioned, there was an underlying medical condition which the state won’t reveal, and it’s not known if the child actually had the disease:A 4-year-old with an underlying medical condition is the first child in New Jersey to die from complications related to the coronavirus state officials announced Friday. Gov. Phil Murphy said…the death is the state’s first COVID-19 fatality of someone under the age of 18…State officials declined to reveal further information about the victim, including sex and residence. They also would not reveal which underlying medical condition the child had….It is unknown whether the victim announced Friday [May 8] had the disease.”…"4-year-old is first N.J. child to die from coronavirus,” NJ.com, Brent Johnson and Bobby Olivier. Also from NJ.com article: “The CDC’s most recent discussion on the topic…April 10 Morbidity and Mortality report...noted only three people under the age of 18 had died from complications from the virus in the U.S.”
