Minnesota is unmatched in liberal politics. In 1984 it was the only state in the country that didn’t vote to re-elect Reagan. The democrat candidate, Walter Mondale, of course was a Minnesota native

Comment: The Republican Party was horrified by this victory. The GOP is much happier when their pals the Democrats are in the majority. They've worked hard to destroy the party and drive Republican voters away. This way they can say nothing is their fault because Democrats control everything.
