1/13/18, "FDNY firefighter cuffed at Staten Island home for trafficking fentanyl," NY Daily News, John Annese, Thomas Tracy, Stephen Rex Brown
"A city firefighter was arrested at his Staten Island home Friday for trafficking fentanyl, law enforcement sources said.
Anthony Murino was taken out of his house in handcuffs by federal officers.
Murino is suspected of purchasing the addictive opioid on the dark web and getting it by mail, law enforcement sources said.
United States Postal Inspectors were the head investigators and had
help from Drug Enforcement Agency and Homeland Security, the sources
said.
Murino has worked for nearly four years at Ladder 11 on East 2nd St. in the East Village.
Sources tell the Daily News that he was not on active duty.
He is expected to face federal charges for allegedly trafficking the drug often mixed with heroin.
The FDNY did not respond to a request for comment or information about Murino’s employment."
