Edward K. Mullen, born in Brooklyn on September 27, 1922, died on August 24, 2017 at his home in New Jersey. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Joanne, 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and one great grandchild

 During World War II, Ed Mullen was a US Air Force pilot in the Pacific. Here he's training with a Stearman biplane.
