Lloyd Marcus stunned when Ann Coulter endorsed Romney, sees 'fearful intellectual conservative syndrome' and forgetting Nov. 2010 elections

.
"A Herculean effort" will be required to remove ObamaCare, one which Romney is incapable of mustering.

10/31/11, "Fearful Intellectual Conservative Syndrome," Lloyd Marcus, American Thinker

"I was stunned when conservative author Ann Coulter endorsed Mitt Romney for president. I love Ann. I even named her in my tribute song honoring Conservative women, "Our Girls."

Why would one of my conservative heroes select a liberal-lite to run against the Mike Tyson of political opponents? No, I am not suggesting that Obama would bite off the ear of our presidential candidate, but Obama is a Chicago-style, no-holds-barred politician. If your opposition brings a political stick, you bring a political gun. That's the Chicago Way.

As chairman of the CampaignToDefeatObama.com, I have taken heat from folks on our side angry because of our ad exposing Romney's liberal choices and tendencies....

Obamacare is an Obama-nation in regards to freedom. If implemented, Obamacare will end America as we know it. A Herculean effort will be required to repeal Obama's evil socialistic mega-control monstrosity.

  • Can we trust Romney to go "all in" to repeal Obamacare?

Intimidated, fearful intellectual conservatives say that Obama has the bully pulpit of the White House, the majority of the media, and a billion dollars on his side for re-election. In essence, they believe that we have lost our country. They believe that a majority of Americans are infected with entitlement mindsets and class envy disease. Obama's media-manipulated, ill-informed infected zombies are going to vote for the guy (Obama) who promises freebies and vows to punish the rich.

Driven by fear, the game plan of our smart conservative gurus is to offer a liberal-lite candidate who will also promise freebies, but not so irresponsibly -- who will punish the rich, but not so severely.

I believe that these conservative colleagues are suffering from Fearful Intellectual Conservative Syndrome.

Intellectuals in our party such as Coulter and others are rallying around Romney because they fear that America will not elect a pedal-to-the-metal true conservative. They believe that we need a liberal-lite to defeat Obama....

From national to local elections, solid conservatism was a huge winner in 2010. Since then, the pain, suffering, and economic bleeding caused by Obama and his agenda has intensified. Thus, the referendum against him will be far more prominent in 2012. It is crucial that we exploit this golden opportunity to challenge Obama ideologically by selecting a true conservative presidential candidate.

While the Democrats, by far, have been the major offenders, liberalism in both parties has been taking us down the road to destruction for years. In 2012, with a true conservative Republican presidential candidate leading the charge, we can begin taking America back from both parties -- pointing her in the right direction on the road to recovery.

We did the "liberal-lite thing" in '08 and lost. Remember a guy named John McCain? So why on earth would we go there again?

We know the drill. Here is the play-by-play. The lib media and Republican elite convince all the "smart people" on our side that only a reasonable "moderate" like Romney can possibly beat Obama. So, out of fear, we select Romney as our 2012 presidential nominee.

Upon Romney officially winning the Republican nomination, the lib media turns on him. Suddenly, they declare Romney a Mormon religious nut. They release all kinds of stories about how electing Romney would

  • equal the personification of evil in the White House."...

Media who called you 'racist' for questioning anything about Obama now bashing Herman Cain, Update: NPR bashes Cain Mon. AM

.

UPDATE: I heard NPR Morning edition (Mon. 10/31), tuned in about 6:13AM and they were in full analysis of Herman Cain accusation--this was as big as the Japan nuclear disaster to the NPR people-- with Inskeep and Politico's Martin, said this is just the kind of thing that comes up in politics, made a point of saying his campaign didn't deny it, fudged around about it later after being prepped by AP. Then Cokie Roberts came on, dripping with condescension and all-knowingness. Her main point, it was only a matter of time before something like this would happen, Cain has never run for office before, this kind of thing always happens to people who haven't run before. She makes the assumption for American voters it's all over for Cain. She probably does echo the NPR view that they desperately want Romney to be the candidate because he'll run exactly like McCain did. "This always happens, voters always find out about untested candidates" and it just doesn't work out. You have to go with a tested candidate (translation: Romney). The segment ended around 6:20. They could still be talking about Cain, I'm just not listening at the moment. No one mentioned his race but there was one passing reference to Clarence Thomas-Anita Hill. Also, she said "independent voters in states like Florida don't want to hear someone who doesn't believe in global warming" (among other topics). I've lived in Florida recently. The massive global warming fraud found many corrupt politicians in Florida including the Jeb Bush era. Florida is a state filled with poor people. This problem has been exacerbated by the global warming cartel which has siphoned billions if not trillions from the people of Florida in as many different scams one could imagine. ed.

Unemployed Oakland man, chmn. of neighborhood crime council, says burglaries have increased because police are busy with Occupy group

.
10/29/11, "Occupy Oakland: inspiration, frustration at return," San Francisco Chronicle, by Matthai Kuruvila, Kevin Fagan

"The owner of Sankofa African Arts and Jewelry said that on the two mornings since protesters returned, her front doorway has reeked of urine.

She said her business has declined by 80 percent since Occupy Oakland began.

"I really, really want them to leave," said the owner, who gave only her first name, Ellen. She has owned her business for 17 years. "What they are doing is making business worse."

A camp supporter overheard her lament and shouted:

  • "You would have lost your business anyway with the way the economy is going."

Ellen burst into tears.

Moji Ghafouri said business has gone down 25 percent at her Caffe Teatro. Protesters also smashed one of her windows.

"I'm a small business," she said. "If you're against corporations or big business, I'm not them."

Ghafouri said part of the problem is City Hall's doublespeak - like banning people from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and then letting people camp overnight anyway.

"If they're not going to enforce it, don't say it," she said. ...

Far from downtown, other Oaklanders see the protests as taking up too much of the city's resources in a time when there are already too few. Parks, recreation centers, senior centers and police have all been cut in recent years.

Larry Benson, 54, has been unemployed for three years, so he supports the cause. But the North Oakland resident, the chairman of his neighborhood crime council, says the camp

  • is affecting the whole city.

"This mayor should never have allowed camping at Frank Ogawa Plaza," he said, while also criticizing Tuesday's raid and the subsequent clashes with protesters. "It continues to cost us. We are having a rash of burglaries over here,

Arab Spring increases popularity of female genital mutilation, 91% of Egyptian women have been mutilated, new Egyptian leaders say it's fine

.
Since "Arab Spring" international support against Female Genital Mutilation has plummeted. New Egyptian government closed down agency aimed at preventing FGM. Maybe they're spending the money on 'virginity checks' now.

10/29/11, "For Young Women, a Horrifying Consequence of Mubarak’s Overthrow," The New Republic

"The decades-long movement to stop FGM has become a casualty of the power struggle in Egypt.
  • The campaign to end FGM in Egypt was fighting an uphill battle before the revolution.

Although FGM was outlawed in 2007 after a 12-year-old girl died from the procedure, the practice is still widespread. Despite efforts to reduce it, the number of girls aged 15 to 17 who underwent FGM only dropped from 77 percent in 2005 to 74 percent in 2008, according to the 2008 Egypt Demographic and Health Survey (EDHS). EDHS also showed that 91 percent of all women in Egypt between the ages of 15 and 49 have undergone FGM. The practice is common not only among Muslims, but also in the Christian community, which constitutes 10 percent of the Egyptian population. A sanitized version of FGM has gained increased prevalence in recent years, presenting additional challenges.

  • In 1995, only 45 percent of all FGM operations were conducted by doctors;

by 2008, the percentage had risen to 72 percent. A young woman working as a maid and living in Cairo, who asked to be referred to only as Ayesha, did not even know that FGM is illegal. Her mother had put her through the procedure, and she told me that she would do the same. (Experts have found that the practice is mostly perpetuated by mothers making decisions for their daughters.) “Unless someone can show me what is wrong with it I don’t think there is any reason to change,” she said.

Since the revolution, international support for this fight has significantly waned. Political instability has led to a 75 percent cut in Egypt’s FGM-related donor funds to the United Nations since January, according to Marta Agosti, the head of the anti-FGM program for the U.N. Changeover among government ministers has also slowed official work. The National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, the government body charged with addressing the problem, was shuttered after the revolution, and there is concern among activists that the capacity of the Council will shrink in its new home under the Ministry of Health. Instability and a lack of funds have curtailed the day-to-day work of NGOs; less field work and fewer workshops are taking place, according to Agosti.

In addition to the general shrinking of U.N. and NGO funds and efforts, the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood as one of the strongest political forces attempting to fill the void left by Mubarak’s departure presents potential obstacles to the campaign to end FGM. While the Muslim Brotherhood does not have an official position on FGM, the group has, in the past, opposed a complete ban on the practice.

  • “Nothing in Islam forbids circumcision,”

said Saad El Katani, the leader of the Brotherhood in parliament in 2008. Some members of the Brotherhood have argued that opposition to a complete ban does not indicate support of the practice, but they generally don’t speak out against it."...

5/31/11, "Egyptian general admits 'virginity checks' conducted on protesters," CNN, Shahira Amin

"A senior Egyptian general admits that "virginity checks" were performed on women arrested at a demonstration this spring, the first such admission after previous denials by military authorities.

The allegations arose in an Amnesty International report, published weeks after the March 9 protest. It claimed female demonstrators were beaten, given electric shocks, strip-searched, threatened with prostitution charges

  • and forced to submit to virginity checks.

At that time, Maj. Amr Imam said 17 women had been arrested but denied allegations of torture or "virginity tests."

But now a senior general who asked not to be identified said the virginity tests were conducted
  • and defended the practice.

"The girls who were detained were not like your daughter or mine," the general said. "These were girls who had camped out in tents with male protesters in Tahrir Square, and we found in the tents Molotov cocktails and (drugs)."

The general said the virginity checks were done so that the women wouldn't later claim they had been raped by Egyptian authorities.

"We didn't want them to say we had sexually assaulted or raped them, so we wanted to prove that they weren't virgins in the first place," the general said.

  • "None of them were (virgins)."

This demonstration occurred nearly a month after Egypt's longtime President Hosni Mubarak stepped down amid a wave of popular and mostly peaceful unrest aimed at his ouster and the institution of democratic reforms.

Afterward, Egypt's military -- which had largely stayed on the sidelines of the revolution -- officially took control of the nation's political apparatus as well, until an agreed-upon constitution and elections.

Mubarak denies ordering shootings

The March 9 protest occurred in Tahrir Square, which became famous over 18 historic and sometimes bloody days and nights of protests that led to Mubarak's resignation.

But unlike in those previous demonstrations, the Egyptian military targeted the protesters. Soldiers dragged dozens of demonstrators from the square and through the gates of the landmark Egyptian Museum.

Salwa Hosseini, a 20-year-old hairdresser and one of the women named in the Amnesty report, described to CNN how uniformed soldiers tied her up on the museum's grounds, forced her to the ground and slapped her, then shocked her with a stun gun while calling her a prostitute.

"They wanted to teach us a lesson," Hosseini said soon after the Amnesty report came out. "They wanted to make us feel that we do not have dignity."

The treatment got worse, Hosseini said, when she and the 16 other female prisoners were taken to a military detention center in Heikstep.

There, she said, she and several of other female detainees were subjected to a "virginity test."

"We did not agree for a male doctor to perform the test," she said. But Hosseini said her captors forced her to comply by threatening her with more stun-gun shocks.

"I was going through a nervous breakdown at that moment," she recalled. "There was no one standing during the test, except for a woman and the male doctor. But several soldiers were standing behind us watching the backside of the bed. I think they had them standing there as witnesses."...

Big 3 tv networks did 33 Occupy stories in 11 days, only did 13 on Tea Party in entire year 2009

.
10/28/11, "Occupying TV news," The Daily

"Anti-Wall St. protests get better coverage than tea party, study suggests"

"The Big Three TV networks have devoted far more attention to Occupy Wall Street than they did to the tea party, according to a new study by the Washington-based Media Research Center. CBS, NBC and ABC reported a mere

  • 13 times on the tea party throughout all of its first year, 2009.

In contrast, they ran 33 stories or segments about Occupy within 11 days.

So does the disparity in coverage mean Occupy is getting special treatment? Maybe, suggests the report. On CBS, NBC and ABC, most of the interview sound bites — 109 clips, or 87 percent — were from either protesters or supporters of Occupy, whereas only 6 percent were critical of the movement. Morning-show coverage has also been favorable, with seven guests expressing sympathy for protesters

  • and none opposing or criticizing them.

We don’t seem to remember the tea party getting such good press."

London airports must not be expanded says 'sustainable' cartel. BBC doesn't note 'green' profiteers but jabs 'growth' as greedy

.
Who in their right mind would set foot in the UK today anyway?

10/29/11, "Airport restrictions 'damaging economy', Tory peer says," BBC

"The government's refusal to allow expansion at London's main airports will damage the UK economy, according to the former owner of the airline BMI.

Conservative peer and party donor Lord Glendonbrook says new runways are needed at the London airports Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted.

However, the coalition agreement ruled out allowing their construction.

Ministers are to publish their vision for what they call "sustainable growth" in the UK aviation industry next year.

They say they want airports to be "better", rather than simply bigger.

During recent consultation airport operator BAA said the UK could lose out on trade with emerging markets worth £1.4bn a year if Heathrow is not allowed to expand.

Lord Glendonbrook told the BBC's Politics Show: "There is a strong and sound - both environmental and economic - case to continue building at Heathrow.

"The idea of having no development of existing airports in the south east... is going to be hugely damaging to the country and to the economy."

The peer, a former Channel 4 chairman who as Sir Michael Bishop owned the carrier BMI, is

  • one of the Conservatives' biggest donors."
-------------

How to read a BBC article: The BBC is owned by the UK government which is heavily invested the global warming and "sustainable" racket. The survival of the British monarchy depends on the world accepting man-made global warming as it will rely mainly on rental fees from wind turbines for income. Instead of mentioning this, the BBC implies that an airport growth advocate is just a politically motivated guy with money who gave to 'conservatives.' Hopefully no one will go to their dreadful country, then the BBC will have no worries. ed.

Al Qaeda flag joyfully raised in Libya thanks to $2 billion US taxpayer dollars eagerly approved by GOP House 'leaders'

.
10/29/10, "Liberated Libya: Al Qaeda Flag Aloft Benghazi's Courthouse," American Thinker, Andrew Bostom

"The courthouse in Benghazi, is the iconic seat of the revolt which toppled Qaddafi -- Libya's "(im)moral equivalent" to Egypt's Tahrir Square. During the tumultuous months of Libya's brutal civil war, it was here that rebel forces established a provisional government, and propagandistic media center, crowing to foreign journalists about their "heroic" struggle "for freedom."

However, according to multiple eyewitnesses -- as documented by reporter Sherif Elhelwa,

..one can now see both the Libyan rebel flag and the flag of al Qaeda fluttering atop Benghazi's courthouse. According to one Benghazi resident, Islamists driving brand-new SUVs and waving the black al Qaeda flag drive the city's streets at night shouting, "Islamiya, Islamiya! No East, nor West," a reference to previous worries that the country would be bifurcated between Gaddafi opponents in the east and the pro-Gaddafi elements in the west.

Elhelwa adds these salient details:

Earlier this week, I went to the Benghazi courthouse and confirmed the rumors: an al Qaeda flag was clearly visible; its Arabic script declaring that "there is no God but Allah" and a full moon underneath. When I tried to take pictures, a Salafi-looking guard, wearing a green camouflage outfit, rushed towards me and demanded to know what I was doing. My response was straightforward: I was taking a picture of the flag. He gave me an intimidating look and hissed, "Whomever speaks ill of this flag, we will cut off his tongue. I recommend that you don't publish these. You will bring trouble to yourself." He followed me inside the courthouse, but luckily my driver Khaled was close by, and interceded on my behalf. According to Khaled, the guard had angrily threatened to harm me. When I again engaged him in conversation, he told me "this flag is the true flag of Islam"....

And Libya, too?"

***End Update [EARLIER LISTINGS follow below]...

The MSM’s contextual game changes...when their desire is to strengthen a movement and give it credibility and room to grow. By dutifully reporting individual incidents but not reporting on the growing scope and size of Occupy Wall Street lawlessness, the MSM is willfully covering up the violence, vandalism, and anti-Semitism that truly does define this movement.

Moreover, by intentionally keeping the pieces of this story scattered, the MSM is allowed to have their cake and eat it too. No one can accuse them of not reporting these incidents, but by choosing not to bring the pieces together, the MSM ensures the least amount of public relations damage is done to the Occupiers.

What I’ve collected below is far from comprehensive but still shows over 75 incidents of sexual assault, violence, vandalism, anti-Semitism, extortion, perversion, and lawlessness.

The MSM could easily tell the story of how this violence-prone movement is becoming an increasing threat to our society. After all, my research below is the result of nothing more than Twitter and Google. Among others, The New York Times, Washington Post, Politico, and the LA Times have willfully chosen not to use the resources at their disposal to give the public an honest look at this growing menace. In their partisan minds, truth doesn’t trump agenda.

A few notes on the list below. Whenever possible, I traced the incident back to the original news source. I was as careful as possible when it came to duplicate postings, though I would guess there are a few in here. There are also less than five examples that don’t involve what I would qualify as outright lawlessness but do help to expose the Occupiers for who and what they really are. Finally, and this is the most important way in which the list is imperfect, I most certainly wasn’t able to document everything. A perfect list would be much more alarming than the one I slapped together in just a few hours.

What is true is that on October 18, pollster Doug Schoen (a Democrat!) discovered that a full 31% of Occupiers were willing to commit violence in pursuit of their agenda, whatever that is. As a response to this startling and frightening admission, the MSM either outright ignored or dismissed it. What you’ll see below proves that at least when it comes to their willingness to break the law, the Occupiers are keeping their word.

The list is in no particular order. Like the Occupiers themselves, it’s unruly, disorganized, messy and not focused solely on the nation’s media centers. The movement is spreading across America and bringing with it their outrageous and appalling behavior.

"At least seven people were arrested in downtown Denver during a confrontation between Denver Police and Occupy Denver protesters Saturday afternoon.

A police spokesman says the confrontation began when some Occupy Denver protesters tried to "occupy" the state capitol, which is illegal.

Witnesses say some in the crowd were throwing objects at police, and that a police officer patrolling the protest on a motorcycle was pushed off his bike.

No serious injuries have been reported.

Sources say a few officers have resorted to pepper spray and other non-lethal devices such as rubber bullets in an effort to control the crowd.

Occupy Madison, Wisc. group loses permit due to public masturbation, 'just like the Tea Party'

10/27/11, "Occupy Madison (Wisc.) loses permit," Daily Cardinal, Taylor Harvey

"City officials temporarily denied Occupy Madison a new street use permit Wednesday after protesters violated public health and safety conditions and failed to follow the correct processes to renew or amend a permit.

The permit, which expired Wednesday at noon, required Occupy Madison protesters to relocate from their current space at 30 West Mifflin Street, also called 30 on the Square.

A neighboring hotel's staff alleged voiced concerns about having to recently escort hotel employees to and from bus stops late at night due to inappropriate behavior,

Americans frozen by recession, established migrations to Florida have stopped. Biggest exception: federal government. Washington, DC now a boomtown

.
2010: Americans frozen in place, can't move, lowest level of migration within the country since records kept in 1940's. Among few exceptions, biggest winner is....Washington, DC., rocketing from 44th place to 6th.

10/28/11, "Economy Alters How Americans Are Moving," NY Times, Medina and Tavernise

"The continuing economic downturn has drastically altered the internal migration habits of Americans, turning the flood of migrants into the Sun Belt and out of states like New York, Massachusetts and California into a relative trickle, an analysis of recent federal data confirms.

Essentially, millions of Americans have become frozen in place, researchers say, unable to sell their homes and unsure they would find jobs elsewhere anyway.

An analysis of new data from the Census Bureau and the Internal Revenue Service by the Carsey Institute at the University of New Hampshire confirms earlier census assessments of a migration slowdown, but also offers a deeper, state-by-state look at the impact of this shift,

  • which upends, however temporarily,
  • a migration over decades from the snowy North to the sunny South.

The institute’s study compared three years’ worth of data from the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey, which was released early Thursday and covered 2008-10, with the data from 2005-7. Since the survey’s findings are released in three-year increments, this was the first time that researchers had a set of data that included only years since the financial collapse began, allowing them to make a

  • direct comparison to a similar period before the collapse.

Using this and other data from the I.R.S. that many researchers consider even more comprehensive, they found that migration into formerly booming states like Arizona, Florida and Nevada began to slow as soon as the recession hit and continued to shrink even into 2010, when many demographers expected it to level off. At the same time, Massachusetts, New York and California, which had been hemorrhaging people for years, and continued to do so in the three years before the financial collapse, suddenly saw the domestic migration loss shrink by as much as 90 percent.

Mobility always tends to slow in times of economic hardship, and there has been a gradual decline in American mobility for decades. But census numbers released earlier this year showed that domestic migration in 2010 had plummeted substantially since the recession began and

  • reached the lowest level since the government began tracking it in the 1940s.

“When times get really hard it gets really hard for people to up and move,” said Kenneth M. Johnson, the senior demographer at the Carsey Institute, who conducted the analysis....

Mr. Johnson said that the same phenomenon could be seen within states, as the growth began to slow in once rapidly growing suburbs, and shrinking cities like Los Angeles and Chicago began to stabilize.

In the last three years, Florida saw its first net migration loss since the 1940s, according to the analysis. According to I.R.S. data, the state had a net migration gain of 209,000 in 2005 but

Nevada’s strong migration gains flipped to a net loss of 4,000. Arizona scraped by, ending the decade with a 5,000 net gain, down from 90,000 five years earlier. Maricopa County in Arizona, home to Phoenix, and Clark County in Nevada, home to Las Vegas, two areas that had exploded with growth at the start of the decade,

  • began to see more people move out than move in.

On the other hand, New York had a net loss of 71,000 migrants in 2009, substantially fewer than the 170,000 migrants it lost in 2005. California saw its loss of migrants shrink to 71,000 in 2009, down from 201,000 in 2005.

The I.R.S. data covered the period through the 2009 tax year, but offered a detailed picture of the country in April 2010, when many returns were filed.

The internal migration data does not include those who came to states from other countries or the natural increase of the population through births. Those changes are major drivers for overall population growth and continued to make the Sun Belt and Western states the biggest population gainers of the decade. And young people, who have long been the most reliable group of new migrants to cities, also appear to be less willing to move to the cities in the Sun Belt.

In an analysis of the American Community Survey data made public on Thursday, William Frey, a senior demographer at the Brookings Institution, found that large metropolitan areas with once-flourishing economies, like Atlanta, Phoenix and Riverside, Calif., are no longer magnets for Americans ages 25 to 34....

If nobody can buy or sell their homes, there’s going to be a stagnancy,” he added.

Atlanta, which ranked third as a destination for young people in that age group from 2005 through 2007, sank to No. 23 in the period from 2008 through 2010, according to Mr. Frey’s analysis. Phoenix dropped to No. 17 from second place, and

  • Las Vegas plummeted to No. 35 from 10th place.

The winners were cities like Washington (DC), which skyrocketed to sixth from 44th, Denver, which jumped to first from 12th, and Boston, which is now No. 26, up from No. 45."...

'Occupy Richmond' gets free use of public space, Tea Party had to pay thousands, have $1 million insurance policy-CBS

.
10/27/11, "Richmond tea party: Charge Occupy protesters or refund $10,000 we spent to rally in Virginia," AP

10/27/11, "Tea Party to Mayor: Make ‘Occupy Richmond’ Pay Up," Washington.CBSLocal, Richmond, Va.

"The Richmond Tea Party is accusing Mayor Dwight Jones of taking a soft stance against the “Occupy Richmond” protesters and is demanding that the group pay up.

After nearly three weeks of protests and overnight stays in Kanawha Plaza, the Richmond Tea Party is about to send Jones a bill for about $8,000 on the basis

  • that “Occupy Richmond” has been using the area illegally and for free.

Richmond Tea Party spokeswoman Colleen Owens told CBS Washington that the protesters have been given special treatment and free reign of the park and have not had to comply with the

  • strict liability and security provisions that the city
  • required of a Tea Party Tax Day in 2009.

As the person in charge of the 2009 event, Owens said Richmond officials dictated the number of police and emergency personnel they were required to have on site and required a $1 million liability policy to protect the city. Owens said that when a Tea Party member decided to call the mayor’s office to see if the protesters had required any of the necessary permits for the park, the city said that “Occupy Richmond” didn’t have any requirements for them to protest and stay overnight in Kanawha Plaza.

We’re forced to comply with the laws, but yet they don’t have to,” she said. “That’s such a blatantly unequal application of the laws.”...

When we were applying for our permits, did the city say, ‘Oh never mind, we’re children of the 60s, we believe in the First Amendment’? No, they didn’t tell us that,” she said. “We’re almost being punished for following the law. We do have a problem when others are protesting in the same exact park and

  • they don’t have to follow the same rules.”

Calls and emails made by CBS Washington to “Occupy Richmond” officials and Jones’ office seeking comment were not immediately returned.

The Tea Party hopes to send an invoice to Jones’ office by tomorrow or Monday.

The Occupiers are still there and [the mayor’s office] need to explain themselves,” Owens said. “Why is it OK for some people to break the law and why is it OK for others to comply with the law? Why is that OK and why is that acceptable? I don’t think that’s acceptable.”"

Palestinians ask UN/UNESCO to remove Bethlehem Church from Israel territory

.
If the US House is reconsidering massive diversion of US taxpayer dollars to the UN, why did we give "separate, voluntary contributions" this month to the especially corrupt UNESCO? From which US dollars had been removed since 1984 but reinstated in 2003 by who else, George Bush.

10/24/11, "Palestinian Bid for Full Unesco Membership Imperils American Financing," NY Times, S. Erlanger

"Only this month, the United States made separate voluntary contributions to Unesco programs for education and clean water....

The Palestinian Authority has asked Unesco to designate the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem...a world heritage site.
  • Legislation in the United States mandates a
  • cutoff of financing to Unesco if it accepts the Palestinians as a full member....
Unesco depends on the United States for 22 percent of its budget,
