How to read a BBC news story about 'honor killings:' When BBC says "crime victim" or "young Asian" substitute "Muslim." BBC refuses to say Muslim

.
3/18/12, "'Honour code' supported by young Asians, poll says," BBC

3/19/12, "'Honour' crime victims living in fear in the UK ," BBC

----------------------------

In the first article above, the BBC even goes to the trouble of putting in a misleading photograph of a woman in profile whose appearance and body covering do nothing to suggest she might be a Muslim. Her hair and skin tone are lighter than girls from the Middle East and most importantly her hair is not covered. The hair near her face is clearly not covered but one has to look very closely to see that the back of her hair isn't covered either. Someone went to a lot of trouble to find a photograph that would not tell the public what the real problem is. By refusing to name Islam the BBC clears a path for continued Muslim honor killings around the world.

The second article does show a picture of 2 women with head coverings (below), although one woman's hair flows freely below the scarf which of course negates the purpose of Islamic head covering and suggests the woman might not be Muslim and is wearing a non-religious or at least 'not quite as religious' scarf.

Ed. note: It has been said before, political correctness kills.
