Tanker of US oil arrives in UAE on Jan. 31, 2018. UAE relied on Qatar for its condensate supply until a recent dispute. US now imports only 3 million barrels a day, down from 12 million in 2006-Bloomberg

.
2/6/18, "Oil World Turns Upside Down as U.S. Sells Oil in Middle East," Bloomberg, Sheela Tobben, Wael Mahdi

"The United Arab Emirates, a model Persian Gulf petro-state where endless billions from crude exports feed a giant sovereign wealth fund, isn’t the most obvious customer for Texan oil.

Yet, in a trade that illustrates how the rise of the American shale industry is upending energy markets across the globe, the U.A.E. bought oil directly from the U.S. in December, according to data from the federal government. A tanker sailed from Houston and arrived in the Persian Gulf last month....

The cargo of American condensate, a type of very light crude oil, was preferred to regional grades because its superior quality made more suitable for the U.A.E’s processing plants....

Until last year, the U.A.E. relied on Qatar for its condensate supply. But the two countries are embroiled in a political dispute, and the U.A.E. decided in June to ban all petroleum ships from Qatar....

The cargo was shipped from Enterprise Products Partners LP’s Houston terminal on the tanker Seoul Spirit, which arrived Jan. 31 at the Port of Ruwais in Abu Dhabi, according to ship tracking data compiled by Bloomberg....

With rising crude exports and already booming overseas sales of refined petroleum products such as gasoline, the U.S. net oil imports have plunged to below 3 million barrels a day, the lowest since data available starting 45 years ago, compared with more than 12 million barrels a day in 2006. The U.S. could become a net petroleum exporter by 2029, the EIA said this week....

The end of a ban on U.S. exports in 2015 coupled with the explosive growth of shale production, has changed the flow of petroleum around the world. Shipments from U.S. ports have increased from a little more than 100,000 barrels a day in 2013 to 1.53 million in November, traveling as far as China and the U.K.."...

Deep State doubles down: As if it were a normal thing to do, mainstream media hire pals from intel community such as John Brennan, former chief of depraved, lying, warmongering CIA who joins NBC News and MSNBC. Our unelected superiors at CNN are joined by admitted liar James Clapper, Phil Mudd and Michael Hayden. Our job is to lie back and allow these "experts" to manufacture our consent-Caitlin Johnstone, Consortium News

.
2/5/18, "‘Deep State’ Veterans find New Homes in Mainstream Media," Consortium News, Caitlin Johnstone

"NBC News’ hiring of former CIA Director John Brennan is the latest in a wave of intelligence community stalwarts being given jobs in the media, raising concerns over conflicts of interests, reports Caitlin Johnstone."

“Former CIA director John Brennan has become the latest member of the NBC News and MSNBC family, officially signing with the network as a contributor,” chirps a recent article by The Wrap, as though that’s a perfectly normal thing to have to write and not a ghastly symptom of an Orwellian dystopia.

NBC reports that the former head of the depraved, lying, torturing, propagandizing, drug trafficking, coup-staging, warmongering Central Intelligence Agency “is now a senior national security and intelligence analyst.”

Brennan, who played a key role in the construction of the establishment’s Russia narrative that has been used to manufacture public consent for world-threatening new cold war escalations, is just the latest addition in an ongoing trend of trusted mainstream media outlets being packed to the gills with stalwarts from the U.S. intelligence community. Brennan joins CIA and DoD Chief of Staff Jeremy Bash on the NBC/MSNBC lineup, who is serving there as a national security analyst, as well as NBC intelligence/national security reporter and known CIA collaborator Ken Dilanian.

Former Director of National Intelligence, Russiagate architect, and known Russophobic racist James Clapper was welcomed to the CNN “family” last year by Chris “It’s Illegal to Read WikiLeaks” Cuomo and now routinely appears as an expert analyst for the network. Last year CNN also hired a new national security analyst in Michael Hayden, who has served as CIA Director, NSA Director, Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, and an Air Force general.

Former CIA analyst and now paid CNN analyst Phil Mudd, who last year caused Cuomo’s show to have to issue a retraction and apology for a completely baseless claim he made on national television asserting that WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange is “a pedophile”, is once again making headlines for suggesting that the FBI is entering into a showdown with the current administration over Trump’s decision to declassify the controversial Nunes memo.

More and more of the outlets from which Americans get their information are being filled not just with garden variety establishment loyalists, but with longstanding members of the U.S. intelligence community.

These men got to their positions of power within these deeply sociopathic institutions based on their willingness to facilitate any depravity in order to advance the secret agendas of the U.S. power establishment, and now they’re being paraded in front of mainstream Americans on cable news on a daily basis. The words of these “experts” are consistently taken and reported on by smaller news outlets in print and online media in a way that seeds their authoritative assertions throughout public consciousness.

The term “deep state” does not refer to a conspiracy theory but to a simple concept in political analysis which points to the undeniable reality that (A) plutocrats, (B) intelligence agencies, (C) defense agencies, and (D) the mainstream media hold large amounts of power in America despite their not being part of its elected government.

You don’t need to look far to see how these separate groups overlap and collaborate to advance their own agendas in various ways. Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, for example, is deeply involved in all of the aforementioned groups: (A) as arguably the wealthiest person ever he is clearly a plutocrat, with a company that is trying to control the underlying infrastructure of the economy; (B) he is a CIA contractor; (C) he is part of a Pentagon advisory board; and (D) his purchase of the Washington Post in 2013 gave him total control over a major mainstream media outlet.

Bezos did not purchase the Washington Post because his avaricious brain predicted that newspapers were about to make a profitable resurgence; he purchased it for the same reason he has inserted himself so very deeply into America’s unelected power infrastructure – he wants to ensure a solid foundation for the empire he is building.

He needs a potent propaganda outlet to manufacture support for the power establishment that he is weaving his plutocratic tentacles through. This is precisely the same reason other mass media-controlling plutocrats are stocking their propaganda machines with intelligence community insiders.

Time and again you see connections between the plutocratic class which effectively owns America’s elected government, the intelligence and defense agencies which operate behind thick veils of secrecy in the name of “national security” to advance agendas which have nothing to do with the wishes of the electorate, and the mass media machine which is used to manufacture the consent of the people to be governed by this exploitative power structure.

America is ruled by an elite class which has slowly created a system where money increasingly translates directly into political power, and which is therefore motivated to maintain economic injustice in order to rule over the masses more completely. The greater the economic inequality, the greater their power.

Nobody would willingly consent to such an oppressive system where wealth inequality keeps growing as expensive bombs from expensive drones are showered upon strangers on the other side of the planet, so a robust propaganda machine is needed.

And that’s where John Brennan’s new job comes in. Expect a consistent fountain of lies to pour from his mouth on NBC, and expect them to all prop up this exploitative power establishment and advance its geopolitical agendas. And expect clear-eyed rebels everywhere to keep calling it all what it is."

Triumph for Trump: US trade deficit with China drops 13% in Dec. 2017; US exports to China surge 7.5% to record high in Dec. 2017; imports from China fall 7.6% in Dec. 2017-Reuters, Commerce Dept. 2/6/18...(Reuters waits til 23rd paragraph to report good news of Dec. 2017 drop in China trade deficit and surge of US exports)

.
"Exports to China surged 7.5 percent to a record high in December. As a result, the U.S.-China trade deficit declined 13 percent in December." (Last sentence of article, 23rd paragraph--you cannot make this up. Article was about December 2017 numbers reported today 2/6/18).

2/6/18, "U.S. trade deficit rises to nine-year high on robust imports," Reuters, Lucia Mutikani, David Lawder

"The U.S. trade deficit widened more than expected in December to its highest level since 2008, as robust domestic demand pushed imports to a record high, adding to the stiff headwinds faced by the Trump administration’s “America First” trade policies.

The import-driven surge in the trade gap reported by the Commerce Department on Tuesday also suggests 3 percent annual economic growth may be hard to achieve. Imports, which subtract from gross domestic product, could get a further boost from a $1.5 trillion tax cut package that became effective in January....

[paragraph 7] The politically sensitive U.S.-China trade deficit jumped 8.1 percent to a record $375.2 billion last year. President Donald Trump has vowed to shrink the trade gap by shutting out more unfairly traded imports and renegotiating free trade agreements....

“Many American factory workers bought into the promise of the president’s trade policy reforms, but they are still waiting for results,” said Scott Paul, president of the Alliance for American Manufacturing....

The Trump administration believes a smaller trade deficit, together with deep tax cuts, could boost annual economic growth to 3 percent on a sustained basis. Late in January, Trump imposed broad tariffs on imported solar panels and large washing machines, and is considering slapping tariffs or quotas on steel and aluminum for national security reasons.

Such actions may prove politically popular with Trump’s working-class supporters, particularly in states hard-hit by factory closures and import competition. But economists say they would likely do little to change the growth trajectory of the overall trade deficit, which is tied more to macroeconomic factors....

[paragraph 19] Imports from China fell 7.6 percent in December. There were also declines in goods imported from Canada and Mexico, the United States’ major trading partners.

[paragraph 20] Exports of goods increased 2.5 percent to $137.5 billion in December, the highest level since October 2014. Exports of capital goods hit a record high, lifted by civilian aircraft and industrial machines.

[paragraph 21] There were also gains in exports of industrial supplies and materials. Petroleum exports increased to their highest level since August 2014.

Exports are being boosted by a strengthening global economy. A weakening dollar is also making American-made goods more competitive on the international market.

[paragraph 23] Exports to China surged 7.5 percent to a record high in December. As a result, the U.S.-China trade deficit declined 13 percent in December." (end of article)
.......................

Comment: Reuters was apparently so upset about the Dec. 2017 positive China trade news for Trump that they saved it until the very last sentence of the article. In the important first paragraph, Reuters informs readers of sad news of "stiff headwinds faced by the Trump administration’s “America First” trade policies.

Reuters took additional trouble to change the thesis of their article without explanation in the 7th paragraph. Instead of reporting Dec. 2017 trade results about China announced today (the reason for the article), they decide to report results for the entire year 2017, during which China deficit "jumped to a record high." Trump wasn't even on the job for the entire year. In the tapestry woven by Reuters, readers have no choice but to believe Trump is a failure on US-China trade. Reuters expands its "Trump is a failure" narrative by including select quotes they've miraculously found agreeing that Trump's had no results (one of which I included above). "Reaction" quotes all appear before the good news of paragraph 23.

Reuters includes no quotes or reactions to the good news in paragraph 23.

Nunes memo's greatest importance is what we saw in the reaction it stirred, the wholesale repudiation by the establishment of the basic idea that they answer to us. Everything they do is to turn us into serfs, to reign over us-Kurt Schlichter...(Elections are subject to their approval)

.
2/5/18, "The Liberals and Their Conservative Chump Pals Hate Democracy," Kurt Schlichter

"It’s all lies. It’s all a fraud. It’s all designed to turn you into a serf, to allow them to reign over you, free of accountability.

And it’s time for you to, pardon the expression, get woke to exactly what is going on, to see clearly the perilous dynamic of an establishment desperately clinging to power and willing to undermine every principle – there’s that abused and mutilated word again – that is supposed to guide the operation of our society.

The most basic principle that has been dumped like a Kennedy’s girlfriend is the one the self-appointed establishment hates most. It is the notion that power derives from the consent of the governed, that those using that power answer to us Normals.

They hate that idea, and they reject it. Openly. Without apology.

Our establishment is mostly liberal, but with a loud, bitter geek chorus of Conservative, Inc., hacks braying along with their progressive overlords in the faint hope of being reinstated to their comfortable positions locked inside their Beltway gimp boxes once Donald Trump and the Normal rebels he represents are purged from the capital. Liberals are ruthlessly seeking to consolidate and expand their power. They are our enemy and must be defeated, but at least they have the dignity that comes from fighting. Not the Conservanerds. These embarrassing submissives, from the aspiring cruise directors to the the fussy bow tie boys to the the pearl-clutching sissies, all want this ruckus to die down so they can get back to business as usual – losing politely and getting their ration of scraps from the table of their masters.

You could call them lap dogs, but people generally like dogs.

The Nunes memo demonstrates that senior, unelected bureaucrats who identified with the Democrats hid the full truth from the FISA judges in order to obtain warrants to spy on the Trump campaign and transition team.

Let’s say that again, because the lies tend to drown it out.

Democrat operatives in the government spied on the Trump team.

That happened. And the liberals, and many True Conservatives™, do not care.

This crime makes the third rate burglary that ignited Watergate look like a third rate burglary. But understand that the fuss and muss over Watergate was itself all a lie, all a grift. The liberal establishment never thought spying on its opponents was wrong.

They pretended to summon up moral outrage about it in order to overturn 1972’s landslide election of Richard Nixon. Today, they don’t even pretend.

Understand: The liberal establishment, backed up by their conservative catamite corps, thinks that their operatives’ abuse of law enforcement to spy on and harass their political opponents is a good thing. They support it. And they think that it is entirely right and proper that the members of this establishment not be accountable in any way to Normal Americans.

And that’s not all. This is no fluke. This is a pattern.

Using the IRS to oppress Obama’s political opponents? That’s a good thing, because it helps promote and expand the power of the liberal establishment.

Turning the press from a band of hacks who at least tried to fake objectivity into committed partisans who are not merely reporting but who are aggressively advocating the Democrat Party’s talking points? That’s a good thing, because it helps promote and expand the power of the liberal establishment.

Letting off scot-free a woman who treated classified information like her putative husband treats his bimbos and who clearly committed crimes that, had you or I committed them, would have seen us dodging potential close encounters in the prison shower room? That’s a good thing, because it helps promote and expand the power of the liberal establishment.

James Comey passing classified material to his buddy to force the appointment of a fatally conflicted special counsel, who subsequently can’t find the unicorn of collusion he was supposed to look for so he and his 100% Hillary-fan team focus on manufacturing obstruction charges about obstruction of an investigation of something that never happened? That’s a good thing, because it helps promote and expand the power of the liberal establishment.

Here’s a quick quiz. Name the Democrat who has come out and said any of this is bad and wrong, or even questionable.

Name one. Just one. Waiting. Waiting.

You will wait forever. The simple, but terrifying, fact is that the establishment, those who presume to run our nation on our behalf, do not accept the basic premise that our government is based upon the consent of the governed and should be run for the benefit of the governed.

Gee, how could that scenario end badly?

They are the experts; they cannot be accountable to mere Normals.

Transparency, shmansparency. Remember those heady days and hours before the memo dropped, when we were told that we Normals should absolutely not see this memo because we Normals could not understand it, because we Normals would be misled since it was all lies lies lies, and because classified information must be preserved and safeguarded!

What changes a few days have brought. We Normals understand that it shows senior law enforcement officials lying to spy on political opponents. Oh, that may be true but that’s okay. They should spy on conservatives, because Russians this time and something else next time.

Oh, and within under 24 hours, the NYT, which was wetting its collective self over the legal declassification and release of highly reviewed materials, ran a story citing “current or former British and American officials involved in Middle East policy described the Israeli attacks inside Egypt, all speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss classified information.” But I thought classified info must be protected? It’s almost like everything they howled about was a bunch of Schiff.

Maybe we need a new classification designation – “TOP SECRET (NO, REALLY – IT HURTS LIBERAL INTERESTS SO THIS TIME WE’RE SERIOUS).”

Everything they say is a lie. Everything they do is to consolidate and defend their power over you. Get woke.

See what they are doing. Understand that they weaponized your principles against you. Watch how the weak-willed, who refuse to accept that a substantial majority of the ruling establishment rejects the idea that they may only act with the consent of the governed, stand by and do nothing except nip at the ankles at those of us who speak the truth.

The truth is we owe the establishment nothing, not respect, not deference, and not obedience.

The Nunes memo’s greatest importance is not the specific abuses it reveals. Its greatest importance is what we saw in the reaction it stirred, the wholesale repudiation by the establishment of the basic idea that the establishment answers to the people.

It’s all lies. It’s all a fraud.

It’s all designed to turn you into a serf, to allow them to reign over you, free of accountability.

Are you going to let establishment drive Donald Trump and his allies, and therefore our voices, out of the corridors of power through a deceitful and corrupt abuse of the mechanisms of governance we allowed them to control? Because once we are driven out of power, we are not coming back – if the last couple years have taught us anything, it is that the establishment will use the full weight of the media, the culture and the government to assure that once they beat down our rebellion, they will never again risk allowing us access to a say in our own governance.

Are you going to let them? Are you going to submit too? Or are you going to fight back?"

Carter Page was an FBI asset through 2015, provided FBI information that aided DOJ's successful prosecution of a Russian spy. FBI never portrays Carter Page as a Russian spy or security risk, per 2015 DOJ court records-Reeves

.
FISA warrant authorized by claim that Carter Page was a foreign spy was in effect for almost a year, Oct. 21, 2016 through Oct. 2017. Initial warrant was renewed 3 times. Total of 4 warrants at 90 days each. Two were signed after Obama left office.

2/5/18, "DOJ Documents Show Carter Page Helped FBI Catch Russian Spies," Townhall, Chris Reeves

"Department of Justice court records from 2015 have provided details about how Carter Page cooperated with FBI agents in exposing Russian spies working inside the United States.

The court records in question come from a sealed complaint deposed by Special Agent Gregory Monaghan. In the complaint, Monaghan attested to how Page was the target of efforts by Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) agents Igor Sporyshev and Victor Podobnyy to recruit sources in New York City.

According to the documents, Page and Podobnyy first met at an energy symposium in New York in January 2013. At this conference, Podobnyy gave his contact information to Page, who subsequently followed up with the Russian both by email and in-person to talk about energy policy. Page transferred unspecified “documents” to Podobnyy “about the energy business,” but Monaghan did not recommend that any charges be levied against Page. In fact, the section of the document discussing Page never characterizes him as a conscious spy or security risk, instead framing him as a victim of Sporyshev and Podobnyy, who expressly denied that Page knew about their status as intelligence agents.

On the basis of a secretly recorded conversation between Sporyshev and Podobnyy, Monaghan explains how they talked about taking advantage of Page (known as Male-1 in the language of the document) [emphasis in bold is mine]:
Based on my training, experience, and participation in this investigation, I believe that, in this conversation, IGOR SPORYSHEV and VICTOR PODOBNYY, the defendants, discussed PODOBNYY’s attempted use of Male-1 as an intelligence source for Russia. PODOBNYY stated that PODOBNYY had emailed with Male-1 (“[Male-1] wrote that he is sorry”), who was interested in business opportunities in Russia (“He got hooked on Gazprom [a Russian energy company] … it’s obvious he wants to earn lots of money”). PODOBNYY stated that PODOBNYY “promised [Male-1] a lot” in terms of PODOBNYY’s connections in Russia, including that PODOBNYY is connected to SPORYSHEV at the Trade Office, but that these promises were “empty promises.” After SPORYSHEV expressed concern that Male-1 might actually contact SPORYSHEV at SPORYSHEV’s cover position, PODOBNYY told SPORYSHEV not to worry because PODOBNYY did not tell Male-1[Page] that SPORYSHEV was connected to the Russian Government. PODOBNYY then explained his recruitment method, which includes cheating, promising favors, and then discarding the intelligence source once the relevant information is obtained by the SVR (“This is intelligence method to cheat … You promise a favor for a favor. You get the documents from him and tell him to go f--- himself.”).
Monaghan followed this up by detailing how Page cooperated with FBI officials in telling them about his contact with Podobnyy:
On or about June 13, 2013, Agent-2 and I interviewed Male-1 [Page]. Male-1 stated that he first met VICTOR PODOBNYY, the defendant, in January 2013 at an energy symposium in New York City. During this initial meeting, PODOBNYY gave Male-1 PODOBNYY’s business card and two email addresses. Over the following months, Male-1 and PODOBNYY exchanged emails about the energy business and met in person on occasion, with Male-1 providing PODOBNYY with Male-1’s outlook on the current and future of the energy industry. Male-1 also provided documents to PODOBNYY about the energy business.
The information above formed a part of the DOJ and FBI's basis for charging Sporyshev and Podobnyy with conspiracy to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act, as the rest of Monaghan's sealed complaint goes on to detail.

So, if Carter Page was acting as a foreign intelligence agent for Russia as far back as 2013, as has been repeatedly implied by mainstream reports, why did FBI agents at the time not see him as such? Based on the information provided above, it seems perfectly plausible that Page thought he was developing a relationship with someone who was a legitimate business contact.

If Page had illegally or unethically shared sensitive information with Podobnyy, why would Monaghan have omitted this given that such an action by Page would have strengthened the FBI’s case against Sporyshev and Podobnyy?

Another question raised by these documents concerns why Comey’s FBI would have considered Page to unquestionably be a Russian agent: If Page cooperated with the FBI in 2013 and provided them information that ultimately aided the DOJ’s successful prosecution of a third Russian spy who had worked with Sporyshev and Podobnyy (Evgeny Buryakov), why would Russian intelligence have trusted Page enough to hire him as an asset in a major intel operation directed against the U.S. government and one of its major political parties? Wouldn't Russian intelligence have put out a notice to avoid Page as an unreliable and potentially dangerous contact?

In order to answer these questions, the public needs to see more of the classified materials that first sparked the Trump-Russia collusion investigation. If there is concrete evidence that Page was in the employ of the Kremlin while he was an advisor to the Trump campaign in 2016, the American people deserve to know. If not, then that spells a great deal more trouble for anyone who authorized the FISA warrants against Page."

3 main issues US voters must accept in submitting to global CO2 governance: Your industry must be constrained, you must send money abroad, and you must accept a stronger UN. Republican candidates will take positions needed to win primaries, then tack back to the centre-Jan. 2012, EurActiv, Purvis, Legge

.
Nigel Purvis, globalist and CO2 danger advocate: 3 main things US Republican voters must accept:

1/13/2012, "US Republicans Stir Transatlantic Tensions Over Climate Change," EurActiv via EurAsia Review, Brussels

"Six candidates are vying for the Republican party’s nomination [Jan. 2012] to challenge Democrat incumbent Barack Obama in the November general election.

Ironically, the ‘cap and trade’ idea that underwrites the global carbon market was originally the brainchild of US Republicans [especially extreme globalist George HW Bush]. But this changed because of what one senior US climate negotiator at Kyoto described as a collection of “toxic” ingredients.

"There are three issues –

constraining industry,
sending money abroad, and
strengthening the UN –

that are inflammatory on their own right,”

Nigel Purvis, a State Department official under the Clinton and Bush administrations, said on the phone from Washington....

More than that, the climate change issue had become a symbol of ‘big government’ for Republicans [voters], Purvis argued....

[Thomas Legge, a climate officer for the German Marshall Fund] suggested that “the [Republican] candidates are taking positions of necessity to win primaries and they will then tack back to the centre."...

Nigel Purvis, now the president of the Climate Advisers consultancy in Washington, agreed that there was long-term cause for optimism."...
