Genocide and beheadings of Christians in Iraq by Muslims continue but US has yet to offer refuge to Iraqi families and children forced to leave their homes or die-CNN video interview, 8/6/14

In 8/6/14 CNN video Mark Arabo says he met with Ben Rhodes at the White House last week to ask the US to receive Christian genocide refugees.

"CNN’s Jonathan Mann speaks to Mark Arabo, a leader of the Chaldean Christian community and global spokesperson for Iraqi Christians. Among other atrocities, ISIS is beheading children. In this video, Mr. Arabo declares the persecution of Christians in Iraq a genocide and calls for action."



Mr. Arabo thanks Calif. Rep. Juan Vargas for his help passing HR 683 recognizing the "urgent need to protect religious minorities from persecution at the hands of Sunni Islamist insurgent and terrorist group, the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL) [ISIS], as it expands its control over areas in northwestern Iraq." The House has no power on its own except in financial matters so the resolution is a formality.
