10/9/12, "Mitt Romney hears chants of 'four more weeks' for Obama in Cuyahoga Falls," Cleveland Plain Dealer, H.J. Gomez, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
"Republican presidential challenger Mitt Romney
kicked off another round of Ohio stumping here Tuesday night, feeding
off rising fortunes, a feisty crowd and a warm-up entourage that
included New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
About 12,000 turned out for the rally outside the city-run
Natatorium, an audience that a campaign spokesman said was Romney's
largest yet in the Buckeye State.
The former Massachusetts governor is enjoying a surge in polls after
a strong debate performance against President Barack Obama last week.
But Romney needs the momentum to endure another four weeks, a reality he
drilled into his supporters....
Romney has risen in national polls since his debate last Wednesday
with Obama. A Pew Research Center survey of likely voters found Romney,
propelled by a strong performance, had leapfrogged the president and
held a 49 percent to 45 percent lead. That compared with a 51 percent to
43 percent spread favoring Obama in mid-September.
But the election will determined by results in toss-up states such
as Ohio, which awards 18 electoral votes. Poll results Tuesday from CNN
and ORC International showed Obama leading Romney in Ohio, 51 percent to
47 percent, among likely voters.
That's a smaller margin than Obama enjoyed in Ohio before the first debate."...
