12,000 rally for Romney in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, chant '4 more weeks'

"Republican presidential challenger Mitt Romney kicked off another round of Ohio stumping here Tuesday night, feeding off rising fortunes, a feisty crowd and a warm-up entourage that included New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

About 12,000 turned out for the rally outside the city-run Natatorium, an audience that a campaign spokesman said was Romney's largest yet in the Buckeye State.

The former Massachusetts governor is enjoying a surge in polls after a strong debate performance against President Barack Obama last week. But Romney needs the momentum to endure another four weeks, a reality he drilled into his supporters....

Romney has risen in national polls since his debate last Wednesday with Obama. A Pew Research Center survey of likely voters found Romney, propelled by a strong performance, had leapfrogged the president and held a 49 percent to 45 percent lead. That compared with a 51 percent to 43 percent spread favoring Obama in mid-September.

But the election will determined by results in toss-up states such as Ohio, which awards 18 electoral votes. Poll results Tuesday from CNN and ORC International showed Obama leading Romney in Ohio, 51 percent to 47 percent, among likely voters.

That's a smaller margin than Obama enjoyed in Ohio before the first debate."...
