9/7/12, "Occupy activists plead guilty to conspiracy and weapons of mass destruction charges," Legal Insurrection, Anne Sorock

"This Wednesday, three of the five Occupy activists arrested for attempting to blow up a commuter bridge in Ohio in May pled guilty to use of a weapon of mass destruction, attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction, and attempted use of an explosive device to destroy property used in interstate commerce.. The Wall Street Journal reports:

Two 20-year-old suburban Cleveland men, Connor Stevens of Berea and Brandon Baxter of Lakewood, and Douglas Wright, 26, of Indianapolis, pleaded guilty to three-count indictments in back-to-back appearances in U.S. District Court. A fourth man pleaded guilty earlier, and the fifth defendant faces trial after a defense-requested psychiatric exam.

Prosecutors said they calculated the three men could face 30 years to life in prison, based on the seriousness of the crimes. There was no plea deal, and U.S. Attorney Steven Dettelbach said a sentence recommendation would be made later.

I attended the “Occupy the Truth for Peace and Justice” rally held in Cleveland in honor of Andrew Breitbart August 20 to bring attention to the widespread media coverup of the mens’ connection to Occupy. “Hating Breitbart” producer Andrew Marcus, who organized the rally, has documented their connections to Occupy as well as how the media continues to cover up the violence that continues to be embraced in the Occupy community. The rally gathered Tea Party activists from all over the country to demand accountability for the media’s complicity in covering up the Occupy members’ attempted terrorism. Michelle Malkin, Dana Loesch, Jim Hoft, Andrew Marcus, and others gathered in the spirit of Andrew Breitbart who always believed it was ultimately the media that we had to battle in order to take back the country.

While there, Occupy Cleveland held a small press conference where they continued to defend the men and say that they were victims of entrapment. U.S. Attorney Steve Dettelbach said, ”Make no mistake about it—it was their plot. It was the defendants who selected the target they wished to destroy.”"

""If this gets into the media, it would be a disaster"" said one of the Occupy members.

5/5/12, "Suspect in bridge bombing plot signed lease on Occupy Cleveland warehouse," Cleveland.com, M. Sangiacomo

"One of the five self-described anarchists arrested last week for attempting to blow up a local bridge signed the lease for a West Side warehouse where about a dozen members of the Occupy Cleveland group live.

In a one-hour recording of a Friday evening general assembly meeting of the group posted on its website http://occupycleveland.com/live-stream/, occupy leaders expressed concern about Anthony Hayne's name being on the lease, which strengthens his link to the group.

"We have a person facing terrorism charges on the lease of our warehouse," said one of the leaders. "If this gets into the media, it would be a disaster." ..."He served a year in prison starting in 2007 for beating his wife."

5/1/12, "Cleveland City Councilman Worked With Terror Suspects in Occupy Camp," Paula, RedState.com

"Cleveland Magazine has just posted an interview from the tents at Public Square in Cleveland with the shell-shocked reaction of the remaining Occupiers on receiving news that their comrades had been arrested for plotting to blow up an area bridge.

As I posted earlier today, the men have a clear link to the Occupy Cleveland movement and this article confirms that all five men were regular visitors to the Occupy Cleveland tent in downtown Cleveland....

What is perhaps most disturbing is that Cleveland City Councilman Brian Cummins, a vocal and active Occupy supporter, admits that he knew and worked alongside the suspects, even admitting that he knew they were anarchists....

Cummins, a member of the Green Party, has been an integral part of Occupy Cleveland’s activities since the movement began. He was present on the first day of the “Occupation,” offering advice about dealing with the city’s laws and regulations and helping them to secure the required permits. In October he invited his Occupier comrades for a personal visit to Cleveland City Hall."...

From the Occupy Cleveland forum:

“Some of us are morally opposed to handing someone over to the cops and consider it a violent actI can tell you for a fact that at least one other prominent Occupier is strongly opposed to calling police, for the same reasons stated here. Even when someone has committed violence, this person says, putting them through the criminal justice system only imposes more violence.”

And that terrifies me."

5/1/12, "Occupy Cleveland cancels 'May Day' rally, says bomb suspects involved with movement," newsnet5.com, C. Kiesel

"A member of Occupy Cleveland said he saw all five suspects at a meeting for the organization Sunday. He said he considered three of them friends and they never talked about anything violent with him.

Three of the suspects had references to Occupy Cleveland on what appeared to be their Facebook pages. Brandon Baxter , Joshua Stafford and Tony Hayne all said on Facebook that they worked at #OccupyCleveland and live in Cleveland, Ohio .

Occupy movements through the U.S. planned May Day protests Tuesday targeting U.S. financial policies. Reports said they hoped it would be a day that would help revitalize the movement....

According to the FBI, the suspects showed interest in causing financial damage through attacks."...

Ed. note: A media member might be saving a life, perhaps even someone close to them by allowing the public to know that Occupy is often violent. Even that, even preventing injury or death, fails to motivate the deadly US media.
