Massive suicide attacks v US by Afghan soldiers thwarted in US 'safe' zone-BBC

Attacks would have cost significant loss of life. Good thing we only spend $6 billion a month there.

3/27/12, "Afghan arrests after authorities foil 'suicide attack'," BBC

"Several people have been arrested in the Afghan capital, Kabul, after plans for an apparent mass suicide attack were foiled.

Intelligence officials have told the BBC that 11 suicide jackets were seized.

The arrests were made inside the first of several security zones around the ministry of defence.

Some of those arrested are reported to be soldiers in the Afghan National Army."
